High Court grants order prohibiting the publication or broadcast of any matter concerning employment law proceedings which would identify the defendant employer as a person suffering from anxiety disorder, where the plaintiff employee had made certain allegations against the employer which related to the medical condition in question, on the grounds: (a) that the publication of the identity of the employer would be likely to cause her undue stress; and (b) anonymising the identities of the parties would not be prejudicial to the interests of justice.
Employment - application pending for interlocutory relief - application for restriction on public identification of party - section 27 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2008 - anonymity in civil proceedings - application by employer for anonymity order - medical history of defendant - anxiety disorder - fear of publicity - administration of justice in public.
